Taos, New Mexico is an iconic American place. The Ranchos Taos Church, officially named "San Francisco de Asis Mission Church" has been the subject of paintings and photographs by such luminaries of American art as Ansel Adams, Georgia O'Keefe, and Paul Strand. The church's adobe walls have stood since 1772 when the church was first built. Presented here are a few photographs of this historic Southwestern church that I have made over the years.

All photographs in this series are printed in the square format from high resolution digital scans of the 2 1/4" black and white negatives.  This means that a 16x20" print is 20x20", an 11x14" print is actually 14x14" in image size, and a 7.2x9" prints is 9x9" in image size.
