Souther Pacific No. 4449 steams past Java East on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad near Essex, Montana on 17 October 2009. The steam locomotive and train are returning to Portland, Oregon from Owosso, Michigan The BNSF routing along the southern border of Glacier National Park is along the old Great Northern line.
