Beech-18 and UPS truck - FSM _ Study 02
Fort Smith, Arkansas
On the evening of 16 April 1997 a UPS truck unloads cargo into a Beechcraft Model 18 airplane on the ramp of the Fort Smith regional airport at the TAC Air terminal. The plane is bound for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport with departure set for 8:30 PM. After the plane is unoaded and filed with cargo, the plane will drop packages off at the Harrison, Arkansas airport and then fly back to Fort Smith. The plane is owned by the Springdale Air Service. The days of the Beech-18s in UPS service are numbered and they will be replaced by Cessna Caravans in a couple of years. Photo © copyright by J. P. Bell.
