KCS F-Unit at Heavener, Oklahoma
This Kansas City Southern Railway F-Unit is used hauling freight out of Heavener, Oklahoma on the Arkansas Western Railroad in the summer of 1979. The Arkansas Western was a subsidiary of the KCS. The line became the Arkansas Southern in 2005 and runs between Heavener and Waldron, Arkansas. The diesel locomotive is being serviced in the engine house in Heavener. Photo © copyright by J. P. Bell.
